DEFIANCE By C. J. Redwine

Defiance (Defiance, #1)

If there ever was a book that was so fast paced it kinda ruined the book, it would be Defiance.
The plot of the story started out very well, telling us about Rachel's father, and how he disappeared. Once the action starts I think C. J. Redwine got a little bit overwhelmed, this book did have all the elements to be enticing novel, but it was just too rushed, jammed together, and unoriginal. It just seemed that she just had too many ideas that she didn't know how to combine so she just smashed them together.

We have all seen it in most books at stores today,

(INSERT STRONG FEMALE LEAD WITH TROUBLED LIFE HERE)
(BOY WHO HAD ALWAYS/ OR JUST RECENTLY DISCOVERED HE LOVED HERE HERE)
(UNEXPECTED, BUT YET EXPECTED VILLAIN HERE)
(INSERT DANGEROUS BUT EPIC QUEST HERE)....and a battle scene or two.

Authors just think that with those ideas they are going to get a best selling novel, but it is not. It seems to me that some author are just struggling to find that WOW factor to write about, and I think that is exactly what happened to C. J. Redwine in Defiance.

To describe this book in one word would be very easy, forgettable.
