THE ASK AND THE ANSWER By Patrick Ness

-THIS IS A SEQUEL- GO HERE FOR MY REVIEW OF THE FIRST BOOK.THE KNIFE OF NEVER LETTING GO

I CANT. IT ENDED JUST LIKE THE FIRST-
MY FEELINGS. ARE. CRUSHED. GAHHHH
but somehow I still loved it....hm

I had been dying inside ever since I finished the first book in the series, and I have had a desire to read this book that was SO big that mygekhgfgufyktuk yep. But I was also afraid that Ness was not going to be able to deliver something as stunning and wickedly beautiful as the first novel. Alas, I was proven wrong. very, very wrong.

All the characters (new and old) where portrayed with such an ability that even when you tried to convince yourself that you knew them, knew how they would act, and how they felt and thought, you knew you where wrong.
Even with everything that separates them, and everyone who tries to separate them, Todd and Viola´s relationship grows stronger and stronger every day. I am now absolutely shure its true love, it cant be explained any other way. I JUST LOVE THEM SO MUCH OK?!
As for the Villains, they are more ruthless, cruel, and cunning than ever. and it creeps me out. ALLOT.
Mayor   president Prentiss is just so much evil that I cant, and wont, explain because it is on a level that I think only Ness could understand.

The imagination was as outstanding as in the first book, or maybe even a bit better. I still do not comprehend how someone comes up with a subject as intricate and interesting as the noise, I just cant.

With twist around every corner The ask and the answer is a MUST READ for anyone who considers themselves a reader (you obviously have to read the first one before)

THE DARKEST MINDS By Alexandra Bracken

The Darkest Minds (The Darkest Minds, #1)

I cannot express in a few words how much I loved this book. I JUST CANT OK?!

With the way that Alex (can I call her that?) writes I felt like I was in the story from page one to the last! it was that good!
The cover also did a great job in painting a image of darkness and despair. I really liked it!

Alex did a great job with the characters. She made me feel that I had know these characters for as long as I had been alive, and that I had learned to love them for all of the good and the bad that they had in them.
My favorite character has to be Liam because he is so DARN CUTE. and maybe it has to do with the fact that he is a (in my opinion) a strong and forgiving leader.

Overall I REALLY enjoyed this book and recommend it to EVERYONE!
I also think this would be and awesome idea for a movie!

DEFIANCE By C. J. Redwine

Defiance (Defiance, #1)

If there ever was a book that was so fast paced it kinda ruined the book, it would be Defiance.
The plot of the story started out very well, telling us about Rachel's father, and how he disappeared. Once the action starts I think C. J. Redwine got a little bit overwhelmed, this book did have all the elements to be enticing novel, but it was just too rushed, jammed together, and unoriginal. It just seemed that she just had too many ideas that she didn't know how to combine so she just smashed them together.

We have all seen it in most books at stores today,

(INSERT STRONG FEMALE LEAD WITH TROUBLED LIFE HERE)
(BOY WHO HAD ALWAYS/ OR JUST RECENTLY DISCOVERED HE LOVED HERE HERE)
(UNEXPECTED, BUT YET EXPECTED VILLAIN HERE)
(INSERT DANGEROUS BUT EPIC QUEST HERE)....and a battle scene or two.

Authors just think that with those ideas they are going to get a best selling novel, but it is not. It seems to me that some author are just struggling to find that WOW factor to write about, and I think that is exactly what happened to C. J. Redwine in Defiance.

To describe this book in one word would be very easy, forgettable.

MYSTIC CITY By Theo Lawrence

Mystic City (Mystic City, #1)

*SPOILER ALERT*

The story in mystic city, while entertaining and fast paced, was a little bit predictable. I mean, girl wakes up with no memory, parents just happen to rule the city, she has a fiance whose parents where/are enemies of your parents, but then mysterious rebel boy steps in and sparks a memory and filing in girl witch she cannot place. Is it just me or was it a little bit obvious that Hunter was the one the whole time?

Apart from the obvious plot of the story another thing that I quite didn't understand was how Hunter and Aria ACTUALLY fell in love. AGAIN, when Aria recovers her memories of Hunter it only tells us how they met and that they went on like TWO DATES and that somehow they where just magically in love since then, not that I don't believe in love or love-at-first-sight or whatever, but its just that Aria didn't give the OMG I JUST MET THIS BOY AND I THINK I LOVE HIM vibe. She gave off the OMG I THINK THIS BOY IS HITTING ON ME, IT WOULD BE RUDE IF I SAY NO TO HIS DATE kinda vibe, if you get what I mean.

OVERALL I think Mystic city had the potential to be a great YA novel, but succumbed to unoriginality and predictability.

SHADES OF EARTH By Beth Revis

Shades of Earth (Across the Universe, #3)

The ending....I CANT....I WONT..THE FEELS....ELDER!...YUFGMZ
Well now that I got THAT out of the way lets continue, shall we?

If you have not read the first 2 books in this series go read them now! ( I wouldn't want to give away any spoilers!)

GET BOOK 1 HERE:ACROSS THE UNIVERSE

Beth started this book out with action and so much intrigue that I had to take some deep breaths to actually take it all in!
found it very interesting how we FINALLY go to meet Amy´s parents, and see how much different they where from her. Beth's also includes defiance, mystery, betrayal, and love in a way that just makes you wonder if everything is what it seems.

As for the characters, this book just made me either love them with a passion, or hate them with such a passion that I would have liked to climb into the pages of this book and strangle them myself. Alas that last part is not possible, so I will have to content myself with how their stories ended in this book.
First we have Ender and Amy´s relationship. Half of the time they where together I was like "KISS ALREADY!" of course I knew they could not hear me, but a girl can try, right?
i was so happy that they where together, I mean they are meant for each other! and despite their differences they still saw past them, and learned to accept them, that is what true love looks like.
I wont lie and say that half way to the ending I was dying inside, wont say why because SPOILERS, but once I read the last page I knew that I had done the right thing by struggling through the heart ache, and finishing the book.

Shades of earth will stay with you long after you have turned the last page.

SPLINTERED By A G Howard

Splintered (Splintered, #1)

Let me just starts this off by saying that this was a beautiful tribute to Lewis Carroll's Alice's adventures in wonderland, and that I LOVED all of the dark twist that A. G. Howard had to offer in this astonishing novel.

At first I though that this book was a little on the creepy side...(witch it kinda is, but in a good way)...but as I kept reading, and when real action started I found that I came to love the book, and that I could not put it down.
The characters where just so well created that I felt that I could never quite figure them out completely, so that was a good thing.

I really have nothing else to say about his book because I just enjoyed it so much.
Just a warning before you read it though, NOTHING IS WHAT IT SEEMS
you have been warned.

TIGERS CURSE By Collen Huck

I had read ALOT of mixed reviews about this book, but I finally found the courage to go to the library and get it.

The book started a little bit too slow for my taste, but quickly redeemed itself once I got to (exactly) page 100. The story was unique in every single way, I mean how many books are out there now about werewolves, vampires, and other creatures? many if you haven't noticed, and this is the first one I have ever seen about tigers so that scored it some points in my book.
The pace of the book was great, delivering tiny bits of drama/excitement here and there to keep me interested, even though sometimes I felt the plot line was a little too slow, and predictable with all the, bad boy vs. good boy love triangle, the girl with a barrier around her heart that wont let anybody in, and the rivalry between the two brothers (cant anyone get along?!).

As for the characters I have mixed feelings for.
The one character that I really enjoyed was Ren because he was awkward at times, caring, romantic, and just plain charming.
The one character who I have SERIOUS ISSUES with is Kelsey. no. just-
no.
At first I kinda like her with her down to earth vibe, hard working attitude, and funny sense of humor. My liking for her was destroyed and forgotten by the middle of this book. She just started getting really paranoid about Ren liking her, and filling her head with negative thoughts and comments about how he could have any supermodel and not her because she wasnt good enough. If that wasnt enough to start despising her I dont know what is. Plus! she had the most annoying sarcastic comebacks ever! and she described her and Rens relationship as a love-plant witch was both confusing and meaningless.
The rest of the characters I neither disliked or loved.

Apart from my long rant about the characters this book is perfect if you are just looking for a fast read that will not make you worry about a complicated plot, and complex characters.
